Welcome to our class website. I am glad you are in 5th grade with us! Our classroom will be full of questions, fun, challenge, discussion, explanations, and perseverance.
We’ll work together to tackle difficult learning; our brains will get so much bigger throughout the year!

Monarch Lake Field Trip
Thursday, September 15 (All Day)
This trip is filled with outdoor adventure! We do need parent volunteers to join us, so please let me know if you are willing to spend the day outdoors in beautiful Grand County. Please return the permission slip by the 8th! Additional copies of the permission slip may be found on the link below; just click on the bus.
Assessment Days
August 29 OR August 30
I'll see you either on Monday or Tuesday before lunch at 8:00 - 11:00 OR 12:30 - 3:30. You'll show what you know on some math, reading, and writing assessments as well as have some fun with art projects. We'll also play some get-to-know-you games!
1st Day of 5th Grade Wednesday, August 31 7:30 - 3:30
If you didn't bring your supplies during your assessment day, please bring all of your stuff. This year will rock!
Monarch Lake Poster DUE Thursday, September 22
Sharing what you learned on our field trip is the goal for this assignment. Please see the rubric and expectations posted on Google Classroom. You may turn it in early if you finish before the due date.
